چکیده
In order to produce shoots from nodal segments of salt tolerant jojoba seedlings, the established explants on MS basal medium containing benzyladenine and NAA were transferred to 1/2 MS medium supplemented with benzyladenine and NAA, kinetin and NAA and benzyladenine, kinetin and NAA at different concentrations. The number of shoots produced on the medium with 2 mg BA and 0.1 mg NAA/litre (5.0 shoots per explant in average) was higher than the other treatments. Rooting of in vitro shoots was conducted on MS basal medium containing IBA and NAA at different concentrations. The highest rate of rooting occurred when either shoots were first treated with 120 mg IBA/litre solution for 24 h followed by transferring into a MS medium without plant growth regulators or cultured on MS medium supplemented with 4 mg IBA and 2 mg NAA/litre. More roots were produced on MS medium containing both IBA and NAA than when they were used alone. The mixtures of peat and perlite at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (v/v) were selected as the most suitable media for transplanting or adaptation of jojoba plantlets.
