Genetic resources are the most valuable national treasure of a country and it is vital to identify, conserve and use them. The Persian walnut (Juglans regia L.) is one of the most valuable genetic resources in Iran due to its multi benefits (nutrition, wood, environment conservation, genetics and medicine). To evaluate the effect of different levels of foliar application zinc on some morphological characters of Persian walnut, experiment was done with five zinc levels (0, 1, 3, 5 and 7 Lit zinc.1000 Lit-1 water) from source ZnEDTA in a randomized complete block design with four replications. The results showed that by increasing the concentration of zinc foliar application from 0 to 3, increases weight husk and walnut seeds. This increase is probably due to increase in the amount of carbohydrates and protein in walnut seeds. But zinc foliar application did not show a significant effect on the weight of nuts.
