چکیده
Self-organized organic nanoporphyrins were synthesized in the presence of bio silver nanoparticles (Ag- NPs) using extracted Sesbania sesban plant (ESS). For this novel nanohybrid, [(Ag/MnP)NPs], with the size of 15 nm, manganese (III) meso-tetraphenylporphyrin complex (MnP) was used along with host- guest solvent methods. This nanobiomaterial was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), FT-IR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV–vis spectroscopy. The effects of MnP amount, AgNPs amount, and presence of ESS on the morphology and size of nanohybrid were investigated by SEM. The applica- tion of it was evaluated as a heterogeneous catalyst for oxidation of alcohols by tetra-n-butylammonium peroxomonosulfate (TB) as an oxidant. Catalysts could be easily reused without noticeable loss of activity and the oxidant’s by-product could also be recycled. According to the turnover numbers, the high stabil- ity and activity of (Ag/MnP)NPs were observed in the absence of ESS to compare to those synthesized in the presence of ESS.
