چکیده

One of the most important problems in drainage systems is the leaching of nutrients, including nitrates. Since the element is not sufficiently in the soil, farmers need to use nitrogen fertilizers to meet the needs of the plants. The nitrate is washed very quickly from the soil and into groundwater and in the presence of drainage into superficial waters. Therefore, it can be said that nitrate as one of the decentralized sources of environmental pollution in wastewater or drainage is due to the excessive use of fertilizer. These toxic compounds accumulate in aquatic tissues, especially fish, and overwhelms their reproduction and reproduction. Typically, various physical, chemical and biological methods are used to remove nitrate from various municipal, industrial, and agricultural wastewaters, which are usually complex and costly in industrial scale. The ion exchange process is used to remove nitrate from groundwater, and in surface water containing organic matter and suspended matter, nitrates do not disappear with ion exchange resins. Nowadays, due to the limitations and disadvantages of various physical and chemical methods of water nitrate treatment, such as saline production and high costs, researchers have been paying more attention to the biological treatment of nitrate filtration from water. Biological purification of nitrate involves the conversion of nitrate to nitrogen by bacteria in the bioreactors. The bacteria in these reactors convert nitrate in water into nitrogen in the air. This paper investigates nitrate contamination of water resources and its removal methods.
