Abstract

In this study, Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites were prepared by a facile and fast hydrothermal method to degrade tetracycline (TC) under visible light irradiation. The TC degradation rate of Fe3O4/GO is 94.1% at a TC concentration of 50 ppm after 75 minutes of irradiation, which is higher than others. Parameters for effective tetracycline (TC) removal, such as pH, initial TC concentration, and contact time, were investigated. The initial TC concentration of 50 ppm, optimal for TC photodegradation, was about 3.7 times higher than the TC concentration of 150 ppm.
