Abstract
Pump station is one of the main component of water conveyance systems, that inattention to its performance and efficiency imposes many costs on these systems. Therefore, by an optimal design, the operating costs should be minimized while maintaining system requirements. In this study, Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) was used to minimize the energy costs of the water conveyence system of Baft city. The results indicated that ICA has high efficiency in optimal operation of pump station.
