Abstract

3-amino-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one on heating in low temperature with excess amounts of aromatic aldehydes in the presence of ionic liquid gives corresponding pyrazolopyranopyrazole derivatives within 10-45 min in high yields. The ionic liquid can be easily reused without activity loss.
