Wind energy or wind power is the electrical energy obtained from harnessing the wind. Accordingly, wind energy is simply energy derived from wind. This green energy would be harnessed by creating wind turbines which use blades to collect the wind’s kinetic energy. wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electrical power. Wind turbines use large blades to catch the wind. When the wind blows, the blades are forced round, driving a turbine which generates electricity. The stronger the wind, the more electricity produced. The wind flows over the blades creating lift, like the effect on airplane wings, which causes them to turn. These blades are connected to a drive shaft that turns an electric generator to produce electricity. So wind turbines and their technologies have an important effect on producing this green energy. This paper has provided new technologies and trends in wind energy.
