Abstract

In the study, urchin-like TiO2 microparticles have been synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method for diazinon degradation. The as-prepared particles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The urchin-like structure of TiO2 is revealed by TEM and SEM analysis. The degradation rate was strongly influenced by the pH, catalyst dosage and diazinon concentration. The degree of diazinon degradation was about 87% under UV irradiation after 3 h.
