Lilium is a remarkable ornamental bulbous pot plant and cut flower. In this plant, bulb scale explant is used
for micropropagation. The purpose of this research was investigating the effect of scale explant size on
bulblet regeneration and growth in vitro. In this regard, four types of explants were used based on the size
of the scales. The results of this experiment revealed that the number of bulblets per explants, sucrose
uptake percentage, and fresh weight of scales are influenced by the size of the explants. The consequence
of this study could provide a new perspective for increasing lily bulblets at the commercial level
