Abstract

Lily is the world’s third most significant bulbous crop with ornamental value used as cut flower or pot plant. Scale is the main explant for micropropagation of Lilium. The purpose of this research is evaluation of scale explants’ grafting and wounding treatments on induction and growth of in vitro lily bulblets. The results of this study showed that the number of bulblets per explants, and the leaves number were positively affected by scale explant grafting and wounding treatments. These results provide a new approach to enhance in vitro bulblet production.
