Abstract

The brilliant physico-chemical properties of nanocrystalline rare-earth materials have brought about abundant attention for them in terms of their capability for numerous applications. First chapters start with the short introduction of the research histories and the notable detections in the rare-earth metals. In this part, diverse techniques for producing rare-earth composite nanostructures are shortened. Next, structural characterization and multifunctional properties of the rare-earth nanocoposites are in-depth reviewed. In the following, potential applications of these valuable nanostructures in various field are highlighted. Most of excellent reviews of past decades on rare-earth by means of nanoparticles focused on synthesis and properties of these materials. There is not any special contents on their applications. The present book chapter investigated not only the synthesis method but also their applications in various fields. Finally, this book chapter concludes with some perspectives and challenges for the future researches of rare-earth- nanocomposites.
