چکیده

Shrimp is one of the most important branches of aquaculture with an estimated production of more than 5 million MT, which is constantly increasing. This fact increases the need to pay attention to the production of shrimp feed. Fish meal is the main source of protein in the shrimp diet. Other and new protein sources are examined in this study. Single cell proteins, plant sources, cereal by-products, algae, insect meal and biofloc are some of the protein sources that can be used in shrimp nutrition. Plant sources such as Soy bean, Lupino, Canola, Corn, sorghum, Rice, Cowpea, Peanut and their mixtures are suitable. Microalgae, macroalgae and seagrasses such as Sargassum, Ulva, Macrocystis, Ascophyllum and Gracilaria are important sources of protein that have been reported in various studies on shrimp nutrition. Insects are rich in protein, which is 45% to 66.9% of dry weight. Trichocorixa sp and Hermetia illucens can be used in feed shrimp. Bioflocs in restricted / zero exchange water systems of shrimp culture are known as a source of dietary supplement and rich in protein. In various studies, their protein content has been reported to be between 20 and 58% of dry weight according to culture conditions.
