Abstract
Let R be a ring. The commuting graph of R denoted by \Gamma(R) is a graph whose vertices are non central elements of R and two distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if xy = yx. In this paper, we show that if the field F has no extension of degree n then \Gamma(Mn(F)) is a connected graph with diameter four.
