Title
Novel systems and approaches for sustainable shrimp aquaculture
Type Book
Keywords
,Novel systems ,shrimp sustainable aquaculture
Abstract
Shrimp farming is evolving fast to overcome challenges such as disease outbreaks, water and land shortages, high production costs, and climate constraints. The transition from conventional semi-intensive systems with high water exchange rates to other methods, such as super intensive with limited water exchange, low input, low density, and integrated/multitrophic, is mainly driven by the need to enhance production efficiency and sustainability.
