Abstract
|
A simple procedure to the synthesis of benzothiazolo[3,2-a]pyridine-4-carbonitrile derivatives via the
cyclocondensation reactions of 2-acetonitrile benzothiazole with acyl ketene have been investigated.
6-substituted-1,3-dioxine-4-one derivatives have been used as starting materials for preparation of
acyl ketenes, which were used in the cycloaddition reactions with 2-acetonitrile benzothiazole in good
yields.
