Title Biosynthesis of cellulose–silver nanocomposite by leaf extract of Origanum vulgare and its application in reduction of methyl red Type Presentation Keywords Cellulose, Ag nanoparticles, Origanum vulgare, Methyl red Abstract A green method for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles supported cellulose using leaf extract of Origanum vulgare has been developed for the catalytic reduction of methyl red. The nanoparticles were characterized by TEM and SEM analysis. The synthesized catalyst shows excellent activity against methyl red as hazarduos organic dye. The dye solution was found to be completely decolorized within 30 min of reaction. Researchers Mahboobeh Zahedifar (First researcher)Maryam Mazaheri-Tirani (Second researcher)
